Natural Health Solutions Are A More Than Reasonable Alternative To Get Well

You've been feeling a tickle in your throat and a bit of a sniffle in your nose. You're probably trying to tell yourself that you aren't really sick but you probably know, deep down, that the flu has already set in. Instead of reaching for the medicine cabinet handle, look around your house-you probably have all sorts of natural health remedies in your possession already. Many people find that eating some chicken soup when they first feel sick is all they need to feel better, which makes sense because chicken soup is full of ingredients that are beneficial for your system (the vegetables and nutrients and the chicken are really good for you), so it is only natural that you reach for the soup first and the over the counter medications last.

Not blowing your nose (and only letting yourself sniffle) can lengthen your cold or flu. Don't forget about washing your hands to get rid of the germs!

Stop eating sugar. Eating sugar is bad for your immune system and it makes you more susceptible for illnesses. Cutting out sugar can help you feel healthier and stronger which is part of keeping yourself free of illness. Instead of choosing a sugary drink (which might taste better), choose water because water helps you flush out toxins and sugary drinks helps them get in. Natural health remedies are great but if eating sugary snacks and foods won't let them do the job you want them to do. When you catch a cold or come down with the flu there are a lot of natural options to help you get better. Why would you fill your body with drugs when there is another way? If you've been given a prescription for medication from your doctor you should take it but if you haven't been given any direct orders why not try the natural alternatives to your pharmacy aisle?
