Natural health
Don't Get Sick, Choose Natural Health! No aisle is more popular at the grocery

store than the pharmacy aisle because that is where you head first when you get sick. For most of us, heading to the pharmacy for an over the counter antihistamine or decongestant when we feel sick is a habit. What if you did not have to do this? Look into the cabinets in your kitchen-you already have everything you need to heal. What if you could help yourself feel better without having to leave the house? There are lots of natural cures for your illness. Peppers can go a long way toward helping you heal. If you want an easy way to boost your immune system is to eat bell peppers, which are great sources of vitamin C. Another great cooking item for your health is cayenne pepper, which is fantastic for your sinuses. Add some cayenne pepper to your tea to help stimulate and relax your sinuses so that you can breathe easier. Cayenne will also help heat your body up so that you can start to sweat out the germs and heal your system. Using salve is a great natural remedy. Salves are useful because they can help break up congestion in both the sinuses and in the chest. Salves have a long history of success with healing the cold or fighting the flu because they are made of ingredients that have healing properties. Though it isn't, technically a natural health solution, vaporub is a great salve to have on hand. You can rub it onto your chest, under your nose and even on the soles of your feet (make sure to cover them in thick socks) to help ease your breathing. Steam is very helpful. Why spend a bunch of money on decongestants when long showers and baths are just as effective? You will have an easier time breathing when you use steam to help open up your sinus passages. You will get better rest when your muscles are relaxed-something that the hot water in your bath or shower will help with. If you don't feel like taking a bath or shower, heat up some water on the stove in a pot and then (after moving the pot of water to a table) put your face over the water and drape a towel over your head. The steam is directed toward your face by the sides of the towel which also help keep the water from cooling too quickly. This will help relax your sinuses which will make it easier to clear them out when you blow your nose. When you get a cold you can choose something besides spending money on pharmaceuticals. There are a lot of natural health remedies to choose from that are already in your home! Why spend all that time and money standing in the pharmacy aisle if you don't have to? Natural health cures are better for you
